The 2027 Deep South Annual Convention Registration


Event Summary

Sunday evening begins with a reception honoring our Deep South Director, Denise Thorne, at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner and a fascinating presentation by University of Alabama Professor Ian Crawford on Birds in the Decorative Arts.

Monday's luncheon will feature Petals from the Past nursery, with the owner sharing information about his unique antique roses and other hard-to-find Southern plants. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase plants after lunch. Monday evening begins with a reception at 6:00 p.m. honoring Denise Thorne and all six state presidents. Attendees will have the opportunity to greet before dinner, followed by a floral design program by Benny Campbell.

Tuesday's luncheon will feature University of Alabama professors who will introduce us to the fascinating world of dragonflies, damselflies, and other exotic insects. Tuesday evening, wear your Roaring 20’s or Jazz Age attire for the formal reception and enjoy an evening of fun and lively music provided by Ken Bausano. Unique tours options are provided for Monday and Tuesday afternoon. The full agenda will be posted online.
